Angel has an incredible face to work with; her porcelain skin and ethereal features really do make her, well… angelic. It’s no wonder that I’ve used Angel as a model for various projects and have been lucky to collaborate with her on photoshoots where she has done hair. Did I mention that she’s a hair stylist?! Anyways, here is a little look I quickly put together at work one quiet afternoon. Don’t be surprised if you see her gorgeous face in future tutorials that I do. Can you blame me? She’s a makeup artists dream.

On Monday I had the pleasure of doing makeup on a photo shoot for Toronto clothing store Dalston Grey, which carries a variety of vintage and contemporary clothing. Owner and buyer, Leah Gust did an incredible job styling model Madelaine in an amazing series of summer and spring fashions. Shot by photographer Peter Chatterton, I can’t wait to share with you the final shots once they are done. If you follow me on Facebook and/or Twitter, you may have known that I was pretty excited to be working backstage doing makeup for the allilON show. The hair team was oozing with inspiration and talent which brought a fun energy behind the scenes. I was so incredibly happy to have been a part of this show. The crew presented hair that was a perfect synergy of femininity, playful yet rich colour and the most meticulous attention to detail.
As for the makeup, the mission was to evoke a playful sexyness using candied colours. The models were so amazing to work on and so beautiful. Here are some of the photographs I took throughout the day. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
